Bloom Where You Are Planted, Inc. (BWYAP), Women’s Ministry, has 5 focus areas: professional development, enhanced self-esteem, building positive relationships, philanthropy, and educational success. In our world today, so many women are misled and don’t have a sense of direction. When their life experiences knock them down, sometimes it isn't easy to get back on track. God has placed it on Founder and CEO LaKeisha N. Braxton's heart, with the help of other selected women of positive influence, to help lead and guide women in a positive direction and to help them find worth and purpose by always pursuing wholeness.
BWYAP, would like to give these women a safe place to talk about the thing that is important to them, speak honestly from the heart, listen, dream, trust, set goals, and have the support that they need all while having fun and learning to take time out for themselves.
Professional Development- We help the women in our ministry carry out their dreams and aspirations by creating realistic and measurable goals that can be obtained through self-discovery, action-planning for adequate career placement.
Enhanced Self Esteem – We encourage the women in our ministry to love, believe, appreciate, and focus on self to later take healthy risks, be innovative, practice proper etiquette and build self-confidence.
Building Positive Relationships – We teach the women in our ministry the importance of creating diverse, ethical, and inclusive personal and professional friendships, relationships, associations, and environments. We encourage the women to communicate with respect, kindness and build a rapport with other women in and outside of our ministry; to build a support system and create community.
Philanthropy – We take pride in advocating for giving back to our community; women in our ministry volunteer their time and talents, help solve problems and work in collaboration with like-minded individuals in their communities for the greater good of humanity.
Educational Success – We provide fun resources for the women in our ministry, helping to improve grades in school, emphasizing the importance of reading and comprehension, and striving to aid the women to achieve success through various learning systems and supporting higher education.
